Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder have more in common than just their stunning good looks. The newlyweds are both passionate supporters of wildlife conservation, and this new collection with Graziela Gems proves just that.
Reed collaborated with the jewelry brand to create a special 24-piece collection benefiting the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, which works to protect animals and the environment. “We feel like all of the pieces in the collection represent our shared passion for animal welfare and the beauty we see in animals all over the world,” Somerhalder told Fashionfiler. “We hope that when people wear this jewelry, they will connect not only with the planet but also with each other.”
Reed also worked with the brand to create a birthday gift for her hubby, a turquoise ring that represents their mutual passion. “Six months into the design process of the collection, I realized I had a unique opportunity to work with Graziela to create a special birthday present for Ian, a turquoise ring which ended up being something he loves so much he won’t take off. I think it reminds him when he wears it of our shared love for the environment. I love jewelry that has a story and a meaning behind it, which all of these pieces do.”
