Around this time of year, our dressing focus often shifts to sparkly cocktail attire, but Kate Middleton just served up a well-needed reminder (for our wallets, at least) that simplicity is just as chic. The duchess stepped out on Monday for a memorial service for the sixth Duke of Westminster and, as always, perfectly dressed for the occasion.
Middleton stepped out in a black double-breasted Alexander McQueen coat with plush trim adorning the neckline, sleeves, and skirt. The royal paired her luxe topper with a wide-brim hat, low chignon hairstyle, and matte black stilettos, looking perfectly dressed for the somber occasion. Her husband, Prince William, was by her side, looking dapper in a navy suit and tie.
